There were two websites that had previously been designed and developed but that weren't performing incredibly well so the brief was to analyse the current sites and redesign to decrease bounce rates and increase overall performance.
Both websites although from the same company, had very different feels to them and we felt that the overall brand proposition was being lost so we designed a new framework for the existing content to sit within. We also added new content areas to improve the user experience such as news, mailing lists, case studies, related projects etc. One was a bespoke PHP site and the other was built with the actinic eCommerce framework.
Within a month of the redesign, the bounce rate of the site reduced from over 85% to less than 40% and over page time, number of pages and sales on the eCommerce site tripled. We optimised both sites fully as they were not appearing in the top 100 of most phrases due to the lack of optimisation carried out. The sites now appear in the first page for the key phrases required.
